Thumbs up No More Front Plate Required!

I registered to my S2K with the Motor Vehicle today and was going to order personalized plates for it. The lady at the counter advised me to wait until the first of August to order them since NB is introducing a new plate design. She also told me that starting August 1st, no front license plate is required for seasonal vehicles such as mine! I'll just need a small sticker on my windshield indicating that it is a seasonal vehicle. YAY, I can legally drive around now with no front plate!! The crappy thing though is that I still require a front plate for my G.

I thought of that as well Danny and asked her what exactly is considered a "seasonal" vehicle. She didn't have all the exact details yet but she said she thought it was going to be for a vehicle that is registered for 7 months or less out of the year.

Shane, we do not have seasons down here in Florida. Its more like very hot, hot, kinda hot, and bareable. I am glad to see that you are enjoying your new car...

Shane, you can bet the popo won't give a rats **** about front plates now.
The last thing they'll want to deal with is partial enforcement.

Smart move.....Hope Ontario is not far behind....
I ended up putting the front plate on my "seasonal" Lex this year (very begrudgingly) but didn't want to chance leaving it off this summer too.

I'd gladly remove it tho. It looks so much nicer without.

I'm glad to hear that at least someone is seeing the light.

Edit: I may change plans , bring the Lex and register it in August....hahahahaha.

C.

Good news Shane. That's a different one with seasonal plates.

I agree with Ian. With the hassle of checking for that sticker I bet popo just let the front plate things drop.

I've been carrying this plate and a new mounting bracket in my trunk since my bumper was replaced in February...

I just can't seem to remember to stop at the MTO to get a new one. I guess my memory just isn't what it used to be.

Only one verbal warning so far, which I promptly forgot about.

You're giving me a good (bad) idea here Coach.
A 2lb sledge hammer should do the trick...note to self; remove plate and bracket from bumber before swinging.

You rang?

Looks like Coach is taking trying to change the ON law gradually by going from two plates to only one and a half ...
