Me to, but is it just me? I usually come out to my car to find some old rusted out pickup parked right next to me with hundreds of free spots all around.

I use extreme care while parking anywhere. I always look for the "one spot" that looks the safest

girlfriends HATE this. they're like "just park your damn car already, i'm hungry"

I hope the above G riders don't mind me using this pic as an example.

(person parked to the right) is it to let other drivers be aware of him being careful with his car???... won't this also **** off some drivers who want to park in the middle? ...

I park downtown often and my work place has a great parking lot with a lil wider spots... what i did notice was... most of the highend cars.. SLRs, boss's R8, jag coupes, m6,m3, gt3s,gtrs, etcs. park diagonally. I picked up the habit myself...

when i park at malls, i usually leave a good amount of space in front as well in case the person on the other side decides to come forward a lil extra... would love to understand how others park. please let me know your style.. thanks.

p.s: the spot BESIDE the handicap spot is my favourite since i can park a lil closer to the handicap side. because the handicap spot is very wide and rarely used, a better chance of preventing a dent
Nice thread T7N7, can't believe you really started it. Dont mind you using the pics. I think if you park in the center of the line you would be an azz*ole and look out for being keyed.. If you park towards one end of the line it limits the space for someone else to park they do have the option to park there.. but 90% chance they wont.

good stuff.. the only place i park diagonally is @ work since the parking spaces are about 1.5 times the size of a normal spot... but its good to see how most of us are concerned about parking...

i can't even count the amount of the days where i would park somewhere 'safe' and come back to see a POS beater parked very close... it just angers me.. and i think people do it on purpose!

and oh ya... I NEVER park beside a car in a slanted parking lot...

I used this logic last week, went out for sushi near Yorkdale, I looked for the most expensive car to park next to: a white Mercedes. After I came out from dinner, I noticed a large white paint mark and dent on my driver side rear panel....suffice to say Im watching out for that Mercedes, as Ive seen it there before.

As for parking, beside a curb, so you can get extra close on one side seems to work the best for me.

i just walk an extra mile, its all worth it if you think about how much you have to pay to fix dings in your car. not to mention, you could use a lil exercise lol.

i try not to park diagonally or take up spaces coz there are some azzh0le haters out there who can vandalize your car for that reason.

My mother's 08 Camry was just keyed (deeply) this weekend while she was grocery shopping at the plaza. Those AH's need no reason.
