2003 G35 Coupe -- 48,000 service -- I think I got screwed!

I hit 30,000 miles (US car) (48,000kms) in my 2003 G35 Coupe. I brought the car in and (based on the priorities posted in other threads) I had the following service done and the prices noted (prices include labour):

Oil & Filter Change -- $40
Radiator FLUSH & refill -- $110
Air Filter (Engine) (last done in 2005) -- $22
Micro Air Filter (Interior Cabin -- original factory filter was still there!) -- $45
Rear Differential fluid change -- $42

So, did I get ripped off?

I didn't do the Transmission Fluid flush/refill -- how much should that cost?

Sounds pretty reasonable to me. I would have done the oil change myself along with all the filters, that could have saved you some cash but other than that I think they fair.

Not sure why you think you were screwed. Those are very reasonable.

Infiniti has an automatic trans fluid service on now for $167.95

I guess when I added it all up ($300 with tax) it seemed like a lot. Also, the work was done by a friend's mechanic (not the dealership) so I just figured it would come in under $200. However, in looking at the costs again, I guess the fact that labour and parts were included in each item makes it look worse than it is.

I suppose it was just sticker shock right after I spent the money.

Good to hear that I'm just over reacting.

Next thing to do is that trans flush.

You probably saved some money and got a good job done. 200 would only give you 2 hours labour at the stealer with no parts etc. or shop supplies. G/L with the flush.

Except for the oil change (depending on what type of oil/filter was used).

Brad, those are good prices

To finish it off I would get the Tranny fluid changed and if you have not done brake fluid, do it too.

Nothing expensive about those prices. I'd still do the stuff myself, but that's just me.
