Krowne rust protection done

^ ha ha. yes i do live ~1 min drive from the ocean, but salty air does not seem to pose much of a corrosion risk to vehicles in the last 10 years. most cars <12yrs here don't show rust. the older cars have problems, especially Japanese cars that haven't been cared for, but if you're driving a 20yr old car i think that is to be expected.
the best method out here is weekly washes, and seasonal waxing/protectant. Vancity does use road salt on icy days so that is a problem. thank god it rarely happens.

im still a bit hesitant to do rust protection.
1-my car is 2003, never winter driven
2-never seen visible rust, again never looked under my car.
3-why do they have to drill holes, do all cars go under drilling ,i dont want my G to lose her virginity by drills kidding
im not asking because im cheap, just want to know if this is necessary, im gonna hibernate my car on november again.

Did mine last Mayish. Also didn't want the holes, but decided that I'd buy out the lease and keep the G for a long while so it would be worth it. $120 yearly doesn't buy a lot of body work. Messy for a while, parked it on boxboard in the driveway for about a week. I even had my winter beater done because it was starting to show some rust spots. The Crown will retard the progress of existing rust as well.
Musti82, yours sounds like a better candidate than mine was. Lucky guy.
Great price for the undercarriage Wayne. Did you tell us why not the whole car?

GEE35FX Mustafa, they drill to get inside all the panels where the rust could start.

Alright, here are some pics that I promised... was going to get them done while it was bright outside but I didn't make it home on time. Super long exposure on the pics because I didn't use the flash thus some parts of the pics look overexposed.
Close up of the plug on the trunk:

Another short of the trunk:

I made a mistake when I said that they drilled the back fender from the trunk area, there is nothing there, can't drill it because it's one layer of metal with the inside being in the trunk compartment and so you wouldn't want them spraying your trunk:

There were puddles around my car the day the rust protection was done, but now it's just very slow dripping. Probably going to last for awhile. Going to wash the car tomorrow because don't like the oil paint.

Nice pics!
Thanks for taking the time to upload and show us.
I guess the holes don't look so bad after they're plugged.
I'm going to ask them before hand exactly where they are going to be drilling holes. If I remember the G35 Coupe diagram they showed me while I was there last week of where they would be drilling, I only recall one hole going into the door, one hole going into the front fender from where the door hinges are, and one hole on the door frame towards the rear panel. Not sure about the trunk area. All I remember was I kept telling myself, okay... 3 holes per side... not bad!
I just finished stripping the entire trunk and I also removed my Engine Cover and Battery Cover, to make it easier for them to just spray the areas they need to, without them having to remove anything. I'm also goning to bring my bag of tools and probably take out the rear tail lights in their parking lot before my appointment.
I hope everything goes well tomorrow.
