Unhappy 2004 Sedan Driver Seat Right Track Locked Up

Hi,

I've search the forum and I wanted to know if there are any GTA drivers that have experienced the same problem:

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...lp-please.html

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...rack-help.html

how much it would cost to fix this and does anyone recommend a place?

thanks

I am experiencing the same problem. If you play around with it, it will eventually kick in. You would have to find the motor separately because Infiniti sells the whole seat bottom as a whole, you can't buy just the motor.

I had the same problem, cost me $0 to fix, the motor is most likely fine, atleast mine was, I was able to hear the motor but the right track was stuck. I took the seat apart to access the motor & what I found was the actual gear which is a round plastic piece the size of a dime was totally warn out, the teeth were gone, so I took the piece with me to a wreckers, found an INFINITI with power seats & matched the piece. I installed the new gear & it worked like a charm.

I recently bought a seat track for the gear. I have an extra gear and motor if you would like to purchase.
PM if interested.

I found a place that says it makes the gear for the g35 seat track. It's at http://www.odometergears.com/infiniti.html

does anyone know how to remove the original gear? seems there's a nut in front of it that needs to be removed, but I can't figure out how to stop the shaft from spinning when I try to remove nut.
