Driver Seat Right Track Locked Up! Help Please.

My power seat is messed up. When i try to move it forward or back, the right side stays in place and the left side moves which in turn makes the seat start to rotate. I think i may pull the seat out and check if there is anything jammed in the right track. Any ideas??? Any input for removing the seat or a fix would be appreciated as well. Thanks,

Yeah, its not the end of the world but it kinda sucks. Im tall and and the seats locked up as far back as it goes so its ok for now. Anyways, it looks like there is a axle type thing that drives the two tracks from the motors. I am thinking that maybe the axle on the right side broke or there is something (quarter, dine, nickel, penny) jamming up the track. I tried to get in the back seat and push while my girl held the forward button but no movement on the right side at all.

I just went outside and pulled the motor off and it seems as though the motor is working fine and none of the gears on either side are striped. I assume there must just be something seizing up the track.

had the same problem, there is a tsb on this. if you are under warranty it is covered of course, I'm sure you all new this, but figured I post it anyway. I took my seat out when this happened and referred to my chilton's type manual and it takes a bit of taking apart.

After putting 48,000miles on my G this past year for work i kinda blew the warranty out of the water at 87,000miles currently. Thanks though. Do you have any documentation on this problem that would help me in taking it apart or knowing exactly what may be going on???

Ok, so here we go.

Last night I was so ready to go home and tear my seat out of the car and dig through it to find the problem.
I began by ripping the entire seat and rail out of the car and dissecting it in my garage. Eventually, it seemed that i freed up the rail and it was moving alright. Yessssss i fixed it (i thought to my self). I go ahead and put it all back together and put it back in the G. (this is 2 hours later of course). When i hooked the battery back up, guess what. Didnt work. crap. Anyways i triend one more thing. i took off the motor that drives the forward and backward motion from each rail and low and behold i found the problem. A little plastic gear that is the most worthless POS in the world. Anyways, i was pretty excited that i found the problem and that it was a small little gear that would be cheap. Well, i just called the dealer and they dont sell the 5cent gear. they wanna sell me the $750.00 rails with the motors and everything. Those bastardos. I might as well go trade it in on a new G Type-S. Oh Well. Anyone have a rail they want to sell me???

I had the same problem in my impala, it was a coin that fell in the track and jammed it up.
