A Nice Ontario Fall Day

I am reading about all these places getting snow and today I woke up to frosty but sunny morning. We had a bunch of things to do, but after lunch my wife and I thought we would go for a quick run in the FX.
We were gone for about 4 hours cruising the shoreline and some of the backroads. The furthest we went from home was about an hours drive though.
I took a few pics and of course most are of the FX since she is my new baby and we are enjoying her so much, an awesome cruising machine, for sure.

Our first stop was at Southampton at the mouth of the Saugeen River.

We cruised up to Sauble Beach and hit the beach, you can drive for a long way on the sand along Lake Huron (Not busy this time of year)

Next we cruised to Sauble Falls to check out the colours (they were not as red as last year) and to take a hike along the Falls

Here is a fisherman below the falls, fishing one of the pools in hopes of a Salmon, Brown Trout or Rainbow Trout.

We just love our area

Damn that looks sick! Let me tell you what happen when i went camping around there, we came up to sauble and it was about 9 so it was dark as hell and my iphone took us through these small back roads that are one lane and it was crazy!! My gas light came on and we got lost I thought we were gonna be stranded. I dont know how you guys live up there but Im a city boy and all that fog at night time with no street lights is too crazy for me.

It is a great area for sure. Spend quite a bit of time in Port Elgin, and usually take a trip or two up to Sauble. Looking to get a place up there in a few years time, sooner if I win a lottery. Thanks for the pics, brings back warm memories. And your FX looks great too!

^^Thanks, we like it also, except for the horizontal snow and the drifting in the winter.
I held a meet up here a couple years ago and I may do another one next summer.

Jamal, next time you are up we will have to meet up for sure.

Nice ride in a beautiful location. We're back to +15 today and hoping to say goodbye to the snow for at least a little while. We went from summer (30s in September) straight into winter and are now finally getting fall. But that's AB for ya.

I'm loving it Wayne.....both the wonderful scenery that you have such an appreciation for and the new car.

Those kind of pictures make one appreciate the beauty of the land and the different seasons we have in this country.
