My Garmin 330 was ripped off, replacement suggestions?
Short story, my fault, left the G unlocked overnight. Good news, no physical damage, just messy interior from glovebox and console. It was about three years old and I know lots has changed. Any recommendations? Garmin,TomTom, what else? We travel N Am. only. Don't scuba dive, but walkabout.
Another Garmin, check them out and see what suits you best. Stay away from Magellan.
If I were to replace my old outdated Garmin C330, it would be with another newer Garmin for sure.

I really liked the Garmin as well. I know they have a portable ones now too.
Go Garmin!
My bud has a Garmin 765T. I think the coolest new feature is the 'Lane Assist'. Its very helpful when you are driving a major multi-lane highway and it ensures you will be in the correct lane so you do not miss your exit.
If your G doesn't have blue-tooth then you may want to consider it as an option with the new hands-free law in effect. My bud has called me from his vehicle using the blue-tooth and his Blackberry 8830. The sound quality was not what I call fantastic but we could understand each other fine.
IMO some features like MP3 and picture viewers are a waist.
The 765T includes free lifetime traffic as well but in Canada (around here anyway) that feature is pretty much limited to the 401 corridor. I imagine it has much better use south of the border.
have fun shopping!
PS
The 755T is the same but with out the blue-tooth and therefore should cost a bit less.

My car has nav, but I hate it. I have a tomtom XL335-S and it's alright, kind of tricks me with lanes and exits but it's ok.
The next one I buy will be that cool american one that has all the speed traps and the radar detector built in, supposedly they are making a Canadian version.

Here's a killer deal on a nuvi 755, which is better than both of my GPS's:

I agree with 350Zed re: the 755T and 765T. If you still want a great unit with BT the 265WT is a top seller similar to the 765T but no Lane Assist. It's also a great deal at Tiger Direct.

We have Tomtom & Garmin in the family.
I would definitely get a Garmin as well.
It's been mentioned here before,
but theft is a good reason to NOT program your home address.
It's better to program a nearby store or gas station.

^ that's the problem I find with all of them.
Fastest = highways as much as possible, but takes you several klicks out of your way.
Shortest = all the little PITA side streets
