I do have snow tires; got them with the car. I'll never drive any car without snow tires. They aren't GREAT, but will have to do for now as there is plenty of thread left; also if I was buying them I'd probably go with something narrower and 16 inch if those can fit (not sure).
That issue I was having with the wipers turned out to be a loose bolt on one of the wiper arms... it was driving me nuts. I got out of the car twice at a red light trying to see if there was a chunk of snow causing it, when I got out from work there was no more snow and they still weren't working properly.

My wiper problem turned out to be different than what I initially thought. The issue came back this morning so when I got to work, I found this https://g35driver.com/forums/interio...r-problem.html which is exactly what I'm experiencing. Hopefully it's an easy fix... sucks that it didn't happen when it was nice and warm out.

I only have two major complaints about the G in winter driving conditions. It wont do deep snow at ALL, and the heater doesnt blow hot or even warm when the car isnt driving. I dont know if the latter problem is normal as I have never been around the v35 platform before.
Otherwise its fine. Not great. It is a 6mt and has winter tires. But its better than my old winter cars (Accord & Civic). The VDC system pisses me off quite a bit, and makes having fun a chore if anything. Driving wise its like any other RWD car, just gotta take it easy.

Here's a solution for everyone. VDC OFF! FTMFW!!!
Warning: Not recommended for n00bs.
Two winters I had with my Z. It's only snow tires and VDC off. Nothing else. Never got stuck and never had a problem accelerating from standstill. Fishtailing is expected.

For those with winters - what size tire/rim are you using (I have the stock 19s on the 06MT coupe). How much did you pay total?
Debating getting winters or just storing it as I don't drive much and can share the wife's car.

I'm using a staggered set up 225/45/R18 in front and 245/45/R18 in rear with SD33 Avanti Racing Alloys and Bridgestone Blizzaks LM-25. Brand new they are $2300 CDN.. I got them slightly used for $1800. Lots of tread, like new.Originally Posted by canuckeh

I don't drive the G as much in the winter and is just in the garage, but it's good to have the winters just in case.

Sure VDC can be annoying when doing a standing-start at an icy stoplight, but it can save your a** when you're in motion and hit something unexpected.
You only need to know 3 things to winter-drive a RWD G:
- keep the VDC on
- do your standing starts in 2nd gear
- make sure you have good snow tires

4. Good ole fashion common sense (a lot of drivers seem to leave this at home when driving in a snow storm

I'd still love to know how to disable the YAW system, as I am too lazy to dick around with the car myself right now hah. But come lapping days next summer, It'd be nice to have a car that did what I wanted.
