Sneaky ghost 'car' in Calgary
I saw a speeder on Stoney TR ring road stopped by the 'bakes on Saturday. The 'bakes were driving a new white Ford F150 with a headache rack on top. Looks just like a contractor's truck and the only possible giveaways are small blister strobes on the front fenders and box sides. Other lights hidden in the mesh of the headache rack and front grille. Sneaky...

They have a few of them on the best thing to come out of Cowtown (hiway 2
) the one is a black F150 with a black canopy. There is a white F-150 similar to the one described, I have heard of them carrying a couple straw bales in the back

If it isn't, it aught to be.

I have seen the white F150 a few times. I also saw a silver Grand Cherokee the other day, had no idea that they had those. They are getting sneakier. We must devise some way to mark them.
I am all for increased police presence but with these 'sneaky tactics' there isn't any. When we drive through our neigbourhoods, along a city street or on a highway and see a police car, we all typically slow down making it a little safer for everyone. If we drive down the road and there is a police car but no one notices, then no one slows down.
If our tax dollars are going to pay for a police car then, to me, it should resemble a police car so when it drives through our streets it has a real policing effect on everybody from drivers and pedestrians to the 'up to no gooders' vandalizing our neighbourhoods.
The Taxi Drivers Union should be up in arms. lol
What would happen if a taxi driver was caught impersonating the police?

Maybe radically disguised enforcement is more of a deterrent than marked cars? If you never 'know' what's a cop, you'll likely drive more sensibly since, in essence, any car could be a cop. Of course un-marked cars have no deterrent effect on non-vehicle crimes...
