You are right though; there have been posts on the US lights fix.
It basically amounts to installing a relay to give you DRL.

To solve the hyper blinking of the signal a simple rewiring of the grounds are needed, for the DRL to work you will have to add a relay and change the wiring a little more. I did a write up when I put 06 headlights onto my 03 G35 coupe with some simple wiring diagrams for Canadian G35 with DRL.
