Looks real good Roy. There are times when I'm sure you wonder why you began but now that you are nearing the home stretch you must be getting a feeling of satisfaction from all your hard work.
Good Job

Yes I put sound proof insulation on the ceiling and I did the walls to in my studio room for when I'm practicing.

I outfitted the room with wire for 7.1 surround and I even put a couple of extra speaker wires for 2 more speakers (for those basement parties )

I can't take all the credit for my hard work I would say 75% of it was done by the guy we hired to do the studding, drywall & taping and california ceiling. all I did was plumbing, rerouted my ducts, helped with studding and painted. Now from here on it will be mostly me and a couple of friends doing things like trimming, flooring painting and staining the stairs, I'll probably get my guy to build me the bar but the counter top and sink I'll do.

Electrical work is done, the pot lights look very nice I'm happy with the outcome. The first pic is the main room and the second is my kids play room my studio room is going to have a fixture because its a small room.

this past week I painted the whole basement in our chosen colours, I'll post those pics tomorrow.

It's coming along nicely Roy

I moved my big azz saw into the house on the weekend. (that went over well )

Those are nice lights but no I'm not putting a washroom downstairs, I have a washroom right when you come up the basement stairs so I felt there was no need to put one down there. Why the hell do builders put the rough-in pipes for the washroom in the most odd locations??

^they don't think that through. They put them in the cheapest place to do it and let the new owner figure out layout or other changes that may be necessary. A rough in is a rough in to most folks when they're looking to initially buy. It often isn't the most logical place!

Walls all painted up the Girl's room we decided to let them have a say in what colour they wanted so we all agreed on this pumpkin Orange, ya its a bit bright but it'll go with the flooring and the white trim well. with the main room we went with a coffee brown for the outer walls and the inner wall surrounding the furnace and closet we whent with a dark chocolate this combo looks real nice! In my studio room I went with an Indian Red, I've always liked this colour and since its my room....well ... its got my colour
The last photo is a pic of the stone wall that will be surrounding the outer area of the bar and yesterday we took advantage of Rona's cabinett sale and bought our cabinetts for the bar. Just hopwe that flooing comes in soon the pile of stuff is filling up my garage I'm gonna have to start putting materials on top of my car!....................................ya right
