There is a local Z, can't remember whose it is. It's a shop car though, it makes 327hp N/A and the car hasn't seen a single problem.

I'd rather have a high hp N/A engine than a high HP FI where parts are more expensive to fix or replace (I.E. turbos)
I would have to agree. I would love to see that Z, next time i'm on your area you'll have to show me.

God damn that is impressive! VQ definitely has a lot of N/A potential. if you are talking about the system in the video I don't quite think they are producing the system, I am under the impression that they are just testing it.

Thanks Hoss

That all depends on how compatible the heads/timing chain/cover/VTC systems are inbetween the two. If they are direct bolt ons, then mixing/matching is alot easier. If the bottom end or the entire short block is swappable, then there's your 4.0 stroker right there. Just have to see if the lower/upper intakes etc.. can be converted etc.. Also have to see if the taller block will clear the hood.

For reference, people have been putting VQ3.0 heads onto VQ35 short blocks in maximas for years.

Wow that SG car idels horrible I would not want that on a street car at all, i have JWT C2 cams and my car idels way better than that. Also to use a LS2 Throttle body you will need a standalone EMS to change from electric throttle to a cable style.

So for head work+cams $3000minimum + EMS $3000 +Headers $2200+ LS2 Throttle body and install (it won't be a direct bolt in) $1000minimum +larger MAF $100?

So about $9300 and you have aprox 320whp

Twin turbo kits are around the same price $7000-9000 and Boosted Performances single turbo kit is aprox $5500 and you can get 400whp or more with a turbo kit. I ran 420whp on my JWT 530bb kit and I never had the slightest issue for over two years it was flawless.

Not trying to pee on anyones party, its just the reality of it. I wanted a sick NA build when i first started looking into things but the value wasn't there. Heads and cams are a huge expense however they are still useful if you were to go FI but for the money of heads, cams and install you could get a vortech SC or Boosted Perfs single turbo system both of witch can be install yourself.

Heads and cams are not an easy install in the car you basically have to tear the whole front end off your car to do it. Boosted Perf said his kit is less than 8hrs to install and you don't even need to change out the factory exhaust manis if you don't want to. I am not saying don't go NA just explaining the reality of it to you NA would still be a cool build, i was also looking at individual throttle bodies when I was planing to go NA they look crazy but were about $6000!!

Here is my car when i was just doing cams.
