Hello everybody i just pick up the MD 5/16th spacers from stclairwest..thanks alot homie...im to paranoid to open the plenum up so i was wondering if anybody can suggest a shop in the brampton - Sauga area that knows how to install this...thanks

 

Not that hard bro, search on forum for DIY, glad I did it myself and saved some $

hey man trust me its real easy.. just DO NOT UNPLUG OR TOUCH THE THROTTLE BODY BUTTERFLY (the flap inside the throttle body)!.
save yourself the money.. grab a buddy and have fun doing it... just get a laptop and have it next to you in the garage and just do what they do in the video... easy as making EZ MAC! haha GL

well just don't unplug the throttle body from the upper plenum then.. just leave it attached.. trust me... everyones gonna say the same thing... Save the money and do it yourself its reallll easy

 

^ was a torque wrench necessary for the job?? and since i brought my kit used what kind of glue should i buy for when i put the spacers and need them to stay in place

 

i had a torque wrench but it was broke..

1.hand tighten bolts outside first then the 6 inner bolts. basically go left-right, up-down. so that the seals close evenly then tighten the 6 middle bolts.. if you need the bolt patterns to tighten them let me know. if not the youtube DIY video shows..

2.the GLUE is only for the upper middle 6 bolts... and to hold the spacer in place just line it up place the upper plenum on top and gently place bolts in and hand tighten.. BUY Blue locktite (find them at any autoparts store)

I am slowly creeping towards this.

If you're an idiot, don't use a torque wrench you'll probably put it in ft-lbs. If you can operate a drill, use a torque wrench as people who ride the short bus can get the hang of them.

Just PLEASE make sure it's INCH-LBS. Please.

Save yourself the $60 and do it yourself, I did mine in the rain and it sucked. (don't worry got the plenum back in place before it started to rain, just had to figure out the torque specs in the rain)

I can understand why you'd rather not do it yourself. Most people don't have an inch/pound torque wrench, and you never know what could go wrong. I've read about people snapping bolts etc.
If you'd rather not do it yourself, call Sash at SG Motorsports. His shop is in Brampton.
