Is it early to swap summer?

Hey fellow Canadian members,
what do you guys think of changing to summer tires? is it still early?
i live in Ottawa and lately it has been great here, and doesn't look like it is going to snow soon...
What do you guys think? how long are you going to wait for the swap?
I am also scared to finish the winters on these dry roads.

I'd say keep them on for a couple of weeks. Summer tires lose their effectiveness at a certain temperature, I believe 6 or 7 degrees. With the average temperature in Ottawa for the next week being below that, I'd say it's a good idea to keep them on. I have a feeling there's going to be another dump of snow too, better to be safe than sorry.

It is still much too early.
Wait until the temps are consistently above 10C. In temps below that summer rubber can lose their traction capabilities.

+1 to everything already said, winter tires have more to do with temp than with snow

Wayne - My dad used to say "bald as a Billiard Ball"...I hope this helps.

Doruk - I would wait like everyone says. Let the weather warm up a little more first.

i was going to put the coupe rays on a few weeks ago, but to save the 140 wear rating on the 19" Potenza's i left the 17's on for a while longer. good thing since it was -1 this morning which is the coldest it's been here since mid-December. looks like i'll wait until early April after i'm back from Chile...

At the same time I have my winters on and I am killing the tread on the tires because of these warm temperatures.
