Engine Splash Guard!

Does anyone still have theirs on? I just changed to a nismo bumper which lacks mounting points for the front portion of the splash guard. Any harm going to occur if I rip it off? I don't drive during the winter whatsoever I figured it would be fine but I always like my fellow Canadians opinion since they deal with the same climate. SoCal boys would instantly tell me to rip it off

I have the poly nismo as well and I just have self tapping screws throw the bumper into the splashguard... Its holding, but god only knows for how long..

There are other uses for the splash guard. If you have the time have a look at the following articles:

I was the first NISMO poly bumper in Canada to my knowledge. I bought the automotivemods one nearly 5 years ago.

At the time, there was no reference for how to deal with this so my installer just made up a mounting plate out of aluminum and secured the bumper to the splash guard. If you search under my name you will see the post where I showed what he did along with pictures.

I definately recommend you keep the splash guard on the car. For me, it's been 5 years and everything is still working great. No issues what so ever.
