Winter Tires Suggestions

Hey guys,

I just got a 2006 G35x...as scary as this sounds, I am planning to get tires for the winter....any suggestions as to what type of winter tires to get?

Also any suggestions as to what type of rims to get for the summer??

^^+1 on the Blizzaks and for rims, I would try for a set of stock OEM G35 sedan rims to run them on. You will find them for sale quite often on here and other sites.

Okay it sounds like Blizzaks are the way to go on the G....I had those tires on a former vehicle and they worked well....my last vehicle I had Michelin X-Ice and they worked very well...
I was thinking of using the OEM G35 stock rims for my winter and getting new rims for my summer tires...

Thanks for all the suggestions thus far!

That is what I am going to do.

I've got some "all-weather" tires on my stock rims now which I believe are supposed to be better then "all-season" tires in the winter. I've been running those year round but I think I'm going to change them out to actual winter tires as I found I was still sliding around a lot on the "all-weather" tires. So at the end of the day the plan is to have a dedicated summer and winter set of wheels.

^^ That's definitely the way to go, esp on RWD. gmah, dedicated winter tires on your X will make it a monster in the snow!!

I run Blizzaks in winter as well but have had good luck with Good Year Ultra Grip Ice and have heard great things about Nokian Hakkapeliittas.
