Basement Renovations

If at all possible get the outlets down close to floor level versus ceiling. Makes for a lot more comfort in the winter.

Well looks like another busy G member, good job there Shane. I don't know about you but I was a proud man after finishing mine, its amazing what you can do when you don't wanna pay someone all that cash. I definitly don't miss the mess from all that mudding and sanding.
You just reminded me I haven't taken any pics of my bsaement furnished.

I finished my basement in a few seconds with one hand -- yep, wrote a cheque.
That was a few years ago when I had lots of money and not much time. Kinda the opposite of now, LOL!
Looking great, Shane, and think of the feeling of satisfaction you'll have when it's finally done and you sit back, crack a Keith's and fire up your favourite flick on Blu-ray.

The basement is one more step closer to being finished as I recently got the flooring done. I went with a 14mm laminate Cappachino Oak. Since I have a basement entrance that will be heavy utilized, I didn't want to go carpet due to the dirt and didn't want to go hardwood due to scratches. I am pleased with the choice and think it looks pretty good. Next up is baseboard trim, window trim, etc. After that will be the start of the bathroom.
