I've had my Torch for about a month now and so far it's the best Blackberry I've owned (5 generations so far). The web browser is completely redesigned and the new OS is very intuitive. Paired nicely with my 08 G35x and it's great to have both a touch screen and real keyboard when needed. One person made a note that the CPU is the same as the Bold 9700, therefore it's not worth changing devices. In other smartphones this would be a big concern but the way Blackberries work, most of the "work" is done behind the scenes on the server and network side. This allows the CPU in this case to remain the same and it performs very fast. If you have a previous generation Blackberry, you won't look back after using the Torch for a few minutes.

If possible, I would go to the store and select one. Look at them and make sure the slider screen is snug when open and closed. There have been reports of a few early production models that had poor build quality and the slider on them wobbles to much.
Check all the buttons too.

Should be here sometimes next week. I get new phone every year so this should give me some fun for the next year.
Thanks for all the advises guys.

So far, so good!
I got my Torch the first day it came out and it's been amazing for me ever since! I can't compare it to other BB's as this was my very first BB device. To date, I have NEVER used the keyboard. I got used to a full touchscreen with my previous HTC.
What's the next BB device coming out?

The picture swipe lag is virtually non existent.
I have yet to find a bug that affects me. There is a problem with font size on a couple websites...ironically Crackberry's is one of them, lol
Generally, people like .526 more than any other releases.

My 9700 completely crashed 3 weeks ago the phone was 6 months old, Bell is gutting the phone and putting all new internals instead of getting me a new phone that's ridiculous in my eyes.
From the time I was in the store 4 people had issues with there BB's that's pathetic for a company like RIM.
BB never again.

^ I think you just got a lemon Roy. Phones are like most anything else mass produced. They manufacture millions of them and lemons are bound to happen. Sorry you got one. I would rather have a lemon that cost me $500 than a lemon (car) that cost >$40,000. My last car was a major lemon and I fought with the manufacturer for 2 years.
They will fix your phone and in my experience the rebuilds are equal to or better than new ones. ...I think better quality control/attention to detail.
I know it wont make you feel any better, but like I said before, my mother-in-law is on her 3rd iP4. They all have there problems, is all I'm saying.
