MF Buffing Towels

I picked some of these^ Cookie Monster MF Buffing Towels from eshine last year.
I absolutely loved them at first because they are double sided & the plushest MF I've ever used.

After washing them a couple of times (with proper MF detergent) I'm finding that they're shedding like crazy.
At first I thought that the lint trap need cleaning on the dryer, but that isn't the case.
I'm wondering if anyone else has used these & what your thoughts are.

I have to order more towels soon,
so please post up any good ones you've found.

Heck, I use the same ones and mine have been washed many times with no issues. I just use regular washer soap, but not a lot. I do them by theirselves on low heat/cold rinse and dry them in the dryer without fabric softeners or sheets.

I want to buy some more large waffle weave drying towels from eshine, they have the 16" square ones on sale this month but I want the big drying towels.

I also wash them by themselves w/o dryer sheets etc.

It's been the last 2 times that it's happened.
The towels themselves are still in great shape but I'm get this fine lint left on the car.

This is the MF detergent I use.

I would suggest to hang dry instead of the dryer.

I have had some of mine since 2005, so I dunno maybe it has something to do with water temp in the washer (I use the same soap K uses to do the wash)
I will definitely keep an eye on mine.

Ian, I have several of those as well as they are favourite too. I haven't experience any shedding like you have though. I haven't used the micro-restore detergent, but I do use Detailers Pride detergent.....not really sure if that would make any difference though.

I used the same ones, but I haven't had any issues with the lint. Only difference I hang dry them all.

Ian,

What type of water are you using? Is it municipal supplied?
Water softener used?

Have you asked anyone from Detailed Image or e-shine?

I just missed their 2 for 1 sale on these last month.

I don't have these cm's but my other towels get hung to dry and have no issues there.

It's softened well water Bill.
No I haven't talked to them yet, I wasn't sure if it's something I'm doing or the towels.

I bought a wack of these when they had a 241 sale. Wash them with the same stuff as you do Ian. Cute bottle dispenser, I like it , sometimes they lint a bit.
