i just took my G in for a complimentary "I-Valuation" vehicle inspection at my local Infiniti dealer. it's a free overall vehicle evaluation they offer about once a year, probably intended to drum up business for their service department. but i always take advantage of it since it is useful info and they do a written report - good for vehicle history since i never have the dealer do service work.

while i was there, i was notified that my car was part of a new recall campaign to correct a fault with the seat-mounted side airbags. apparently the wiring & connectors on some cars were shorting out. the work was 0.7hrs and included some brackets and clips.

the recal campain ID was: P117/P0339.

this applies to both coupes and sedans, 03-04.

 

i just got my notice in the mail 2 days ago for it

 

A tech told me about the recall and going next week for the repair.

2005 also have a problem with the seat belts.

 

Alta Infiniti took care of my car and hook me up with g35 cap, g35 coffee mug and touch up paint for free

 

My '07 just had this work done as well. I think the recall covers 03 - 07.

I got the I-Valuation mailer too. Straight into the recycling.

 

downtown infiniti told me it takes 2-3 hours, weird im thinking of getting this done in my off day so i can take a free loaner, gotto love the infiniti line up , all cars are awesome, hopefully i ll get a g37 coupe

 

Slowly eliminating all the air bags in my car.. not gonna worry about it.

 

Got my passenger airbag recall done 2 weeks ago, as stated it's from 03-07

got an appointment to have the recall done tomorrow morning....hopefully they give me a GTR day car

 

Haha, mine too. Though it would be entertaining to see the laundry list of "things that need to be done" (and that I've already done).

Might go in for the airbag thingie though.

 

wow... that's nice of them! I got nothing but my car stuck in the car wash and they missed a few spots.
