Hi g35drivers,

I just got a stone chip on my windshield today while cruising on 401... It's not huge but it's not small either... I was pretty darn bummed as you can imagine

What is the best place to get this fixed in Toronto/GTA? I am really hoping to minimize the appearance of this chip...

I know apple auto glass uses Novus windshield repair technology.. some other places do more "hands-on" work.

Can anyone with this experience/knowledge advice?

I had my windshield stone chip repaired at apple auto glass, its pretty much invisible, but if i try and look for it I can spot the repair.

at first I had trouble deciding on who to go to as well, it was between speedy or apple, but in the end i chose apple auto glass and dont regret the decision.

 

update: I went to speedy glass because it was close from my work. The "technician" was very rude in saying that there is a chance they will break the windshield. He sort of made me feel stupid saying my windshield is broken and if I don't like the way they fix the chip I can drive off with my "broken windshield"... anyway I should have walked off and have gone to apple auto glass but I was pressed for time so I stayed and got my chip fixed. They don't use the traditional method of evening out the chip or cleaning out the dirt that's between the cracks by making drill points (which i think they should be doing)... I sort of regret not taking it to apple auto glass since they do more "hands on" work. I am not going to speedy ever again.

 

I got a kit from canadian tire and did it my self. I can hardly see it
