K&N kit installed on the coupe

The K&N Typhoon intake I bought for the 07x has now been installed on the coupe. Driver's side was 100% compatible, even fit better than on the 3.5 due to a different breather on the 3.7's DS bank vs. the 3.5. The passenger side required a slight mod to the breather/helmholtz resonator. (I had to trim the schnozzle a bit - no going back without a new one...)

Got it all done in 45 minutes this time.

Driving impression: for some reason, it's a lot quieter on the 3.7 than it was on the 3.5 - far less 'boomy' at WOT and high RPMs. Hmmm, wonder why? That said, the sound is verrrrry nice.

That looks really good and it's nice you can transfer some of your sedan mods to the G37 coupe

You can't polish a turd.

Plastic dress-up cover FTW!!

You most certainly can't.

You could always re engineer the turd though.

Hey, the plenum may be fugly, but it works... As long as I can cover it and keep the bonnet closed, I'm golden.
