Do you have the SPC front and rear kit or just the rear??

The SPL may be a better kit it is also wayyy more expensive if I recall right.

The shop is very important, I used to have a good shop but the manager and the alignment guy left, I was going to drive to Drayton Valley to get mine done because thats where the alignment guy moved!!! It took me three shops last time I got mine done the first two couldn't even get my car on the rack and the third shop the guy whined steady about the whole situation, it was a PITA to do especially with me hovering over him making sure he went with the specs I wanted!

I liked that guy at Alvin Auto- until his shop burned down.

Felt weird finding out about that- I saw the camper that started that fire... because it was parked next to my car during the alignment!

I've talked to another shop in town here, Tires Unlimited, and it sounds like the biggest issue is going to be getting it onto the ramps... I'm taking it in monday to see if it'll fit and go from there. With that being said, I'm getting tired of the whole thing so I'll probably just go see if it'll work and leave it for the time being. I'll have to look into the SPL kit- I remember the guy from Alvin had said the Camber kit I got didn't allow the movement that was necessary... My SPCs might end up in the marketplace.

There is not a whole alot of difference in the alignment adjustment that SPC and SPL can do, one is a little fancier than the other.

The SPC with the 2 degreee shim put my front wheels right into place. There is no need to sell them. Did you install the front a-arms or did you get some one to do it? I would lift up the car and see where the pivot ball is. Make sure its as far as it can go towards your tire.

My kit came with shim as you can see in the middle of the pic. This is just something to check. I dont think there is any reason to sell them unless you want to spend $$$$ on SPL.

I had Cam put them on during my overhaul at LSI. I'm not sure if it came with the shims or not. What do you figure shims are worth?

I am not sure but its cheaper then going to SPL for sure. Like i say lift up front of your car on either side and make sure the piviot ball is all the way towards the tire. I am sure Cam had it set when your car left the shop but if you just lowered it recently then it will be way out. Its easy enough to check and fix, even you can do it.

lol nice mention

Measure ground to fender for me front and rear.

With a 2" drop you'll be able to pull spec NO problem. That shop just needs to buy a new machine. I'm down just under 4 inches and I can still almost get my front into spec on stock arms.

Pivot ball is set as far over as it seems it can be... closest to the tire. Maybe those shims are the way to go.

I was going to measure but didn't have anything to do it with. I'll measure later...

I honestly think you need to try a different shop one that is familiar with lowered cars before you start trying to throw a bunch of money at it.

What city do you live in?

I can say my car is pretty damn low, and Sherwood Honda has a brand new sunken drive on alignment rack. I do however scrape my skidplate on the sunken jacks they have in the lift.

Im completely maxed out on BC coils(locks removed in the back) and I have -3 front and back. Toe is completely in spec.
I have SPC front A-arms (without shims installed) and SPC rear camber arms.
Your alignment shop suckkkkks.

I'm in Sidney, on Vancouver Island. Admittedly, the shop is not a specialty alignment shop- more of a tire place with an alignment machine. By their own admission their machine is not one of the better ones. It's just it was close, and I'd asked them to do one after they helped get my rear spacers off. Wayne will laugh because we put them on and, in his words, "I don't think those are coming off."

He was just about right...

I found another shop that'll do one for me right in Vic- as long as I can get on their ramp. I caved also and bought the shims for the right price... so we'll see about that eventually. I'm going to be cutting down on spending until the twins are installed for my pleasure. Oh yeah, and the Turbo too
