a new beast added to our stable

Gotcha
Well we decided on this. Picked it up Wednesday after work. We keep our vehicles at least 8 years so after all I read this seemed like a logical choice. There really are a lot of vehicles to choose from in this segment. Many with excellent initial quality. For us the proven long term reliability won out in the end. The Focus was our other choice but Honda gave us a 0.01% financing (preferred client), a $700 gas card and we paid well below invoice...easy to negotiate as the new Civic design is coming in a few weeks and they really want to offload these.

It's a 2011 Civic SE

Good choice Paul! This is the car for your daughter to drive right? I think it was you that made a thread a while back trying to find something solid.

Great choice. Pretty hard to beat especially for a longer term decision and the deal you would have negotiated.

Congrats.

Paul, don't get yourself in trouble with those 140 galloping stallions under the hood!

I have to admit, I've had thoughts about a car like this for my commute.

Nice pick up! I have often pondered picking up a used civic or something similar to supplement my commute instead of driving the Xterra.

Stop pondering, just buy one. My 97 EL (Acura civic lol) has made my 100kms commutes sooooo much cheaper.

I'm on the fence about keeping it though

I drove the civic once for about 10 min and it's to much car for me. I'll stick with the G
Lucky for me, my commute is only about 130km/wk in fairly light traffic. I only use a third of a tank and thank goodness, considering the nonsense at the pumps lately.
