Thanks guys

...lots more in the pipeline;
some that I'm hoping to have done before C7 rolls around
and others that are winter works projects.

I can't wait to see your Z4, in person again, with the new mods. It's so nice!
To be honest, I have now idea what you did to the engine. Do you have a link to something I can read which explains the benefits of what you did?

On high reving engines hydraulic lifters (most cars) just can't handle things.
This engine has solid lifters that are fitted with shim discs to tune the gap between the cam lobe and the top of the valve spring.

To set it up you have to rotate the engine until the cam is off lobe (each valve) then measure the gap with precision feeler gauges.
There is a spec tolerance table that you reference, and if out of spec you change the shim as required.

Luvving it too. Can I bring mine over to you and just leave it for the winter to get 'modded"?

Those are quite the stands. She looks great and I can't wait to hear how you like the suspension and brakes.

Supposedly my inspection 1 was done but I have doubts the lifters were checked.

I got down & dirty with the ride this weekend too, but not in the same way (or the other way, either) ...

Thanks Deane.
Any time you want to make the trip, there's room in my garage.

I just got back from bedding the pads & rotors; holy crap!
I can't wait to get these things out to the track.

A bedding session is much different than normal use,
but the thing that jumped out at me was a HUGE improvement in pedal modulation.
The feedback is flat out awesome.

The big plus will come at the track with no fear of brake fade due to heat.
A lot of guys say they really improved their skills after adding a BBK because of the added confidence it gives you.

That's awesome about the brakes. I've no doubt they will be a big improvement that you can benefit from along with the bigger tires .

Who knows...a trip to Ontario could be in the cards next summer.

Don't have too many right now, there's another piece coming to compliment this one.
I'll take more pics then.

Your girl looks ready to fly! Works beautifully with the theme you've got going on.

I'm noticing a little something extra on the seat too.

My gosh Ian your car is coming along amazingly!! I cannot wait to see it in person! Good job on all the work you have been doing. Has there been anything that has been difficult to do yet?

And is that your garage!? I love the space in there.

Thanks Deane....
That's just a seat belt pad that you see.
No mods on the seats yet, but I do have plans.

Thanks Lyla.
I might need an intervention soon.
