Oh the horror...I should have stayed at home!
So it's another beautiful sunny Sunday, albeit very hot and humid, and my youngest and I (mostly me) decided to take a leisurely cruse to visit my new G37s 6MT. BIG mistake!
I am so disappointed in the current condition of the exterior that I don't know what to think and/or if I should say anything. I suppose I will wait and see the condition when I pick it up later this week. The pictures, taken with my phone, don't do the severity of the 'crap, justice. It's like someone parked the car under a pine tree for a year. Sticky sappy residue covers the entire car.

Wow Paul that is soooo filthy, looks like it was parked in a forest for a couple of months. Is that residue tree sap??
I am sure it will clean up fine but I wpuld definitely let them know you want it perfect. I would get your neighbor Stephan to have a look and give his opinion, or get them to pay Stephan to detail it before you accept it.
Looks like it has the front plate bracket already installed also.

Yes, I already have Stephan lined up any way. He does a good 'new car' prep (listed on his website). He includes a quick pass with the rotary if he thinks it's needed...for the same price. It's similar, but better than, the one the dealership tries to sell you for about $500.

I emailed Guelph Infiniti - I felt that they should know what I know, about the current condition of this car. This issue is really bugging me.
This is all I said...for now.
Hi 'Guelph Infiniti Salesperson',
I was in Guelph with my family on the weekend, they asked if they could see the new car. Imagine the look on my face when I saw this;

I don't know what cars usually look like when you receive them but judging from the other new vehicles, they don't typically look like this. What happened to this car?

I may just have over reacted a little bit. I can't stand to see any car look like this, mine or not.
Any way, they go back to me today. They say that it's a combination of rail dust and the fact that it was under a tree. He says it does have a protective coating on it that protects the clear-coat and that they use a product that will remove everything. He guaranteed me that it will be perfect when I pick it up.
Again I say, I should have just stayed home. Sometimes we're better off not knowing some things...like, what's really in a hot dog.

Nice Paul!! I'm sure you'll enjoy the extra HP on the 37 manual its gotta be a noticable difference.
BTW why would you let Infiniti take your car to get tinted? they'll charge you an extra $100. more just to drive it down to the local tint shop, my Bro worked a a detailing place and frequently pick up new cars from getting tinted to do a detail.
Let me guess tinting cost you $300. +

Paul about your vid of the pre-prepped G, what did you expect for the car to be sitting in a warehouse away from all the elements?? the thing has been sitting in a field (or in your case under a tree) for months hence the reason the deal is so sweet. This is the reason why the dealer doesn't usually get you to come look at the car before its prepped and ready for delivery.......geez I wont mention to you what dealers do if the car gets scratched or dented before delivery you'll have a heart attack.
