PO boogered up my clutch

I picked up the G37S 6MT last September and have been coping with a juddering clutch since the get go. On hot, humid days the juddering is nigh on uncontrollable so something has to change. This car is US and only has 40,000 miles on the clock.

Since I'm going to open it up for a new disk, PP and flywheel machining (or whatever is involved (dual mass on these ), any suggestions to go other than OE parts? I have no plans to boost power, nor do I drive really aggressively (much...), so thoughts on aftermarket parts known for smoothness?

TIA

First and formost; lightweight flywheel. **** the useless dual mass. Theres a lot of good performance clutches out there that drive like stock. My previous OS Giken & ORC multiplate units drove just as good if not better than oem junk. And they held up to a never ending torrent of abuse.

if you want performance then go with a lightweight flywheel. But it's gonna sound like **** compared to the dualmass OEM. if you want smoothness and your car is a DD then go OEM.

A decent single mass flywheel paired with a good 'stage 1' clutch will give you factory drivability with some mild performance gains when you feel like driving like a weiner. If you think the noise could have negative effect on your ears just go stock for stock.

I like the idea of a lighter flywheel - free up some power at the minor expense of smoothness. I won't go as far as an alumininium flywheel though. This car is way too smooth and quiet now...

Oh, and I'll be doing the work myself. No way I'm paying shop rates.

No doubt. No need to gouge your pockets. Theres a lot of options for cro mo flywheels out there.

JWT makes a nice unit, almost halves the stock flywheel weight. I have no idea what its made from though haha.

Jim Wolf or a USDM Nismo single plate they will be lighter than stock but with similar to OEM drivability. Both are high quality I would go with the cheaper of the two. I know Lightspeed is a JWT dealer Nismo you can get through any Nissan dealer, I would also have it installed where you buy it.

I just put in a new clutch kit from GRIPFORCE (Exedy clutch kit+F1 flywheel) with lightened flywheel in place of the dual mass. When getting the car moving you are gonna get some chatter noise, otherwise my knees are thanking me daily...

Flywheel (F1 racing) is 18lbs, down from 31lbs. Made from 4140 forged chromoly steel (2X stronger than billet steel).
