My last step was to contact Sampson (Blains contact) which I did today. I mentioned Simply Tire's deal and he didn't seem to be worried. He'll get back to me later today. I'll let you all know.
Like I said, Samson is pretty aggressively priced because he has no overhead. Only thing he loses is the fact that he doesn't mount tires. Simply tires can throw that in for free and eat the labor charge.
contact steelcase tires n mag, I remember 2 yrs ago they quoted me something like $1200

Samson's quote is for:
4x Hankook iPike
4x Sport Edition A7 wheels
mounted and balanced
He was very pleasant to deal with on the phone and I would definitely be calling him for future tires/wheels...just not this time.
For those in the GTA, might I suggest Jensen Tire? They're a family owned/operated shop that have been around for ages.
I worked there for the past 3 years while in school, and they are fairly aggressively priced. Just thought I'd give you guys a tip.

I just received my fourth and final quote back from my local boys (10 minute drive from home) that I purchased from last winter for our van. They came through again and the deal will be done.
Bast Tire in Waterloo - $1610.66 all in.
- 225/50R18 Hankook W409 iPike
- OTS fees
- 18" Alloy wheels (TD2DD8F40)
- hub rings & wheel nuts
- valves, mounted, balanced, installed
All Bast Tire customers receive; free wheel rotation every 10,000km, lifetime wheel balance, free in shop flat repairs as long a you own the tires.
I still like the look of the Advanti wheels more but I suppose when caked with dirty slush it really doesn't matter for winters.
the bonus for me...I don't have to drive to T.O. or pay anyone for shipping
Samson has good prices you say??? Haven't heard that name in ages.
Thurgood Jenkins: I be from Jamaica, mon. Lord have mercy.
Samson Simpson: What part of Jamaica?
Thurgood Jenkins: Right near da beach. Boy-eeee!

i have been dealing with car kraze in Brampton. They have been offering pretty good prices , so far i got 4 sets of tires for couple of vehicles(Escalade,Touareg and my g35 coupe) and with mounting and everything I can say they are reasonable. give them a try, i think the guys name was Sanjeed. Last time i got micheline x-ice2 s from him, he got me at 820 with everything included. was a good deal then.

Put my Blizzaks on today.
After I realized that I lost my lugnut lock key
I had to pound a cheapo 3/4" socket over my locks to get them off, which did surprisingly little damage to the locks and tells me they are not very secure, LOL! Now, of course, I will find the key, though I suspect I left it on when I was inspecting my brakes a while ago and it's probably on the road somewhere...
