Very nice Paul, Great Deal.

Now you can do what I'm doing. I'm putting the 2nd coat of Poorboy's Wheel Sealant on both of my sets of Winter wheels.
Then they will be ready to install when it gets a bit cooler.

Nice paul.........although I'm not sure how I'd feel if my winter setup looked better than my Summer setup

I'm just teasin' bud, its all just cheap shots to entice you to buy better wheels for the summer.

Don't you put a sealant on your wheels to help protect them and make them easier to stay clean Roy?

it's funny and true
I've never been a fan of the new Sport wheels either, most people with taste aren't.
I'll post a pic when I put the new winter set on.

Got my winter wheels on my FX.

Late last night I was 20 kms out of town in my GMC P/U and was driving through 2" of wet snow on the highway. You could not tell where the road was. I still have to put my winters on my truck
No snow this morning. I guess it's time to put the winters on the truck.

Yeh, you probably don't want to put it off much longer Wayne.

I finally got my new winter set put on Wednesday. 18" alloys wrapped in Michelin X-Ice Xi2's. They look a lot like OEM wheels huh?
Got a little dirty weather happening here this morning; a few flakes but the weekend forecast looks promising.

I don't suppose these would fit my 2007 G35S 6MT?

For g35 coupe or 350z..possibly others bolt pattern is 5X114

The rims are 18" ATA rims

The tires are staggered Bridgesotne Blizzak LM-22 96V:

Fronts 225/45/R18
Rears 245/45/R18

What are the wheels offsets?
Are you sure the front is 225/45/18. If it is then it will be off by greater than 3%. Driving 100kph your speedo would read 103kph. not a big deal on a RWD.
Other than that, everything fits.

I just cut and pasted out of an ad I saw for used winter tires and rims.

I still have the stock rims and OEM tires on my car.

Hey guys!im new to this website and kinda new to the car. I just bought myself a 04 6mt g35 coupe and this will be my first time driving a rwd in the winter.im 18 and ive been driving fwd cars in cleveland ohio for 2 years so i have enough experience to drive a fwd from point a to be no problem. I bought a set of Blizzaks since some days we get hit like crazy! Any tips i should know before the first snow fall comes? I heard if you have vdc off it will help you a little more from when you start off in first. Someone said with vdc on you might be accelerating slowly off the start and they will get some spin and lose power.. also ive been driving this car for 2months already and i love it. All of last month it was raining like crazy so i got some practice in the rain. Practice by drifting every corner from a stop sign(in an open area where there aren't cars to cause an accident) and just loosing control on purpose and catching back on. Im almost positive ill be fine since ill have a set of blizzaks and id be able to down shift and break with my engine since i have the 6speed manual transmission.

Hi Roman. I'm glad you are enjoying your new rwd car.

Leave the VDC on. As you said it helps you prevent wheel spin which is the main priority to get the car moving in winter driving. The only time I wold turn off the VDC in winter is if I where stuck in snow. Its should mention something about this in the owners manual.

Please stop drifting on wet public streets for practice. Not cool.

Winter driving tips - on snow/ice
- be very gentle on the throttle
- keep in a gear high enough to maintain low rpms
- It's often helpful to start in 2nd gear to reduce throttle response and prevent wheel spin.
- give yourself plenty of distance to the car in front of you or time to slow for upcoming turns
- gently use your brakes to slow down and come to a stop. Especially in slippery road conditions. Another reason to use your brakes (rather than downshift) they are much less expensive to replace than a clutch and transmission when worn out.

I'm sure there's more. Be sensible and you will be fine.

^+1

FYI engine braking on snow & ice is great! ....if you want to end up in a ditch.
Smooth on the brakes is the way to go.
