Way too early for me to change over to my winters on my FX and my GMC Crew Cab.

Temperatures are still too mild here.
I like to wait until temps are consistently below 10C during the daytime

'Squishies' is an apt description. However, they are quieter than my summers! The past few mornings have been zero-ish and for the first few miles I've felt like I was riding on steel-belted triangles. Besides, I had the time and inclination this weekend, so figured I might as well git er dun.

My new wheels should arrive in a couple days. I will wait until the last possible second to install them though.

Well, since I can almost see air through the tread on my summers, no way I'd risk even a skiff of snow.

Which Nokians did you get Ian, all the Nokian names have changed since I ran them.
They were a great winter tire when I had them.

i already put my winters on last week, micheline x-ice2s, my second ever winter with the G,also rented a underground parking lot close to work, so if there is too much snow i will keep the car there. i am actually waiting to see if i can get a summer tire+rim (preferably 19s after market) combination. since prices will be good in winter.

Is it okay to run 205/50/17 fronts and 215/55/17 rear for a G35X? I know I have to run the same size all around but was wondering if I could run this in the winter time.

^ No, especially not in the winter when the wheels tend to spin more often.

Ya that's it store your new car with all the nice comforts for winter to drive a POS that will potentially break down on you causing you to spend money on that very POS
I'm done dicking around with that BS. WE OWN G35'S PEOPLE NOT EXOTICS OR OLD COLLECTIBLES I don't see the point on putting my everyday sedan away to drive a POS for 4-5 months its just stupid........unless your car is a show car and you drive a decent reliable car for the winter its pointless.

Well I finally got over to Bast Tire to pick up my winter set.
I guess it's sort of my lucky day. Even after 3 separate emails, back and forth, they made a mistake and mounted Michelin X-Ice Xi2 on the wheels. They originally quoted me $1891.98 for these but since it was their mistake and the Hankooks are on back order they played with their numbers and where able to sell them to me for $1627....just $17 more than the W409 iPikes I ordered. Not a bad deal
