I hope everyone took a minute today...
...to silently honour our veterans and the men and women who gave their lives in the service of Canada and our allies. We attended a Remembrance Day ceremony at Mewata Armoury today -- since my son is a Royal Canadian Air Cadet, he is required to attend. We don't normally attend, but we went as a family today and were very glad we did.

Did.
We went downtown to the National War Memorial for the ceremony with 30,000 of our closest friends. The two minutes of silence at 11:00 was preceded by the bells of the Peace Tower clock and the first gun of the 21 gun salute, and came between The Last Post and The Rouse, played to perfection by a DND bugler. Pipe band, multiple fly-by's, brass band, children's choir, veteran's parade - a very impressive ceremony.
We finished up in a historic pub across the street from Parliament Hill for a pint and some pub grub. A good day.

Most certainly did.
Was at work so i didn't get a chance to attend a service at the Cenotaph but I wore my poppy proudly and I always keep one pinned to my headliner in every car.
I just feel that one day isn't enough to thank all the brave officers/soldiers who put their lives on the line for us.

We did the mini version several times - our daughter was an army cadet for 4 or 5 years.
