Dipped my grille this morning. Put on 5 coats and it turned out great. Also took out the air filter for a cleaning.... Still need it to dry and oil.

^^ Looks really good, did you have to smooth or fill it at all?

Nope, basically just pulled out the grille, cleaned it and went to town with the plastidip. Allowed 15-20 mins to dry per coat and after the 5 coats, left it for 4 hours to dry before reinstalling.

Stupidly easy to use and is very forgiving. On my third coat, I didn't shake the can as much and it started spitting and messing up the finish. Though I ruined it and had to start over but I went on and applied a fourth coat anyway and it covered up the mess quite good.

The Deed is Done

So I putzed away at the Nismo kit this weekend, and before I knew it....

Not bad for an old, one-armed guy!

I still have some tweaking to do on the rear lip for fitment, but it generally came out VERY nice. Once I get the Rays and the HKS on, along with the new tires I've ordered, I'll clean her up for some proper photos.

Gord, Wayne, Dave...whoever...feel free to stop by one evening this week if you want to check it out and BS a little.

Looks good, Wayne I will try to stop by this week.

I still have that N2O kit in my garage it has a G35 fuel block $400 and it's yours

The spending spree continues....it's fairly obvious when I get my bonus cheque at work

I have wanted some mono block for awhile I was looking for 18" so I could run some Mickey Thompson ET streets. But I have a brand new set of 305/30-19 invos at home so why not get some 19"

The car looks great, Wayne.

BTW, when did the SWIVEL go out of your HIPS? Is it an age thing, or another fall?

Wheels look great, Gord, though it's hard to improve on your current hoops. Still, I do understand the need to change it up once in a while. The difference is, I do it once every 5 years, you every 5 minutes!!

Coach, yes, the inevitable has happened...hip replacement! IIRC it was actually GEE35FX who hung the 'hips' moniker on me.

I might back out on the wheels I have been trying to curb the spending habits, I think it would take a 10-15mm spacer on the front...and I am not a fan of spacers at all....
