2003 coupe floor mats question

2003 G35 coupe floor mats
I don't believe there's a difference between MT and AT, however, Infiniti/Nissan did change the coupe floor mat design slightly in 2003 for both MT and AT. One of the changes was with the right hand side of the driver side mat where it meets up with the drivetrain hump. The older models are straight while the newer design has a bend on the right side. The other change was with the rear mat. In the older design, the rear mat is a single piece that saddles over the drive line hump. In late 2003/2004 and on, the rear went to 2 individual floor mats due to the center consol design change which wouldn't allow the single piece to fit. I prefer the single piece since it protects the humped carpet area and doesn't shift around when people sit back there.
You can validate your floor mat part number by looking at the bottom of your OEM floor mat where you'll see the OEM part number and a matrix showing what year vehicle your mats are compatible with. Here are some photos including one I took from my '03 coupe AT, driverside mat with part number 999E2-JPC01 REV-N.
By the way, I've looked high and low for OEM floor mats with this part number in Willow/Sandy Beach and it's not available, not even in Japan. Bummer.

Phil! You're everywhere! I just got received my willow floor mats and blue painted rear splash guards that I ordered from you a couple of weeks ago. They look good but I haven't put them in the car yet to see how the color match is. I'm sure it's dead on from what I can tell out of the box.
The only thing that's off is the infiniti symbol embroidery color; which is a dark burgundy and doesn't match the OEM mat logo colors or anything around the entire cabin/interior. Is that color changeable or customizable? I meant to call you and ask about that.
BTW, the splash guards look great.

Frankieg35,
the mats fit just like OEM, with the grommets for the hook, I believe but not fully sure, they also come with new carpet hooks..... Front Set w/ logos are $100.00 Full Set w/ logos are $110.00 shipped (CONUS)
David,
excellent! I don't know if the color on the stitching can be changed, I think we picked it out from what they had to choose from and it was the best color option..... I will e-mail my contact and see, glad the splash guards look great!, if it's not too much trouble, could you take a pic of the floor mats and send them to me pjohnson@grubbs.com I forgot to take a picture of the willow mats for my gallery
Thanks!

OEM versus Grubbs Infiniti after market floor mats analysis
Here are photos of the OEM versus Grubbs Infiniti after market floor mats for the '03 G35 coupe, "Sandy Beach" or "Willow" interior color.
IMO, the quality of the after market mats is very good. The fit is precise to the OEM spec. There is a noticable difference in the carpet thread pattern - the OEMs have a more plush, even pattern while the after markets have a clearly linear pattern seen horizontally when the mats are viewed in an upright position. The pattern difference is negligible. The logo on the aftermarkets is larger, placed more toward the center of the mat and in a dark brown color, which doesn't match anything in my interior at all. I'm not sure why this color was chosen but I do hope that changes for the sake of all the OEM purists out there who will eventually be buying these. Lastly, there is a slight color difference. The after market mats are a tad warmer in tone compared to the OEM. I was a bit disappointed in the color difference but it's all we have now that the OEMs are no longer available.
I have more photos and close-ups available. If needed, please let me know and I'll e-mail them over to you.
