Mexico, WTF??
Hmm I've read about many of the incidents that have happened in mexico over the past few years and my conclusion has always been the same, there is always the three sides to every story the victoms the accused and the TRUTH. Not saying that "wrong place wrong time" is never a factor but often times bad things don't usually happen unless you're looking for it or provoke a situation.
And for this lady what was she doing by herself in the middle of the night without her husband.

I just came across this story where a woman was recently beat in an elevator. According to CBC, virtually every bone in her face has been shattered and she's currently in a coma. WTF is going on in Mexico the last few years??? My wife and I got married in Mexico back in 2005 and you never heard of this type of **** going on then. Were not even finished January and there have been a couple of Canadians killed already down there.....and now this.

Haha, you guys are funny. i would bet that the crime/murder rate is worse any any U.S. metro area. Just because you are hearing about it or the news is reporting it does not mean it is happening any more then anywhere else. I feel safer in Mexico then i did when i went to the bahamas.
Apparently they caught the entire assault of security camera and it was committed by another tourist staying at the hotel....tho no arrests have been made yet
I just find it weird that the same exact same thing happened to another canadian tourist staying at that hotel last yr. He apparently got his skull smashed in with a hammer or baseball bat and was left in a coma after having dinner with his wife

With that being said, if someone in Mexico was trying to jack my **** then I wouldn't even put up a fight unless security or friends were nearby. Its not worth the risk nowadays IMO.

And like I mentioned previously, I love Mexico. Been there a number of times and even got married there.

^ really??? Care to tell me the last time a US or Canadian resident bashed a tourist over the head in order to scam them for medical care $$$?
In the US and Canada people get bashed over the head, that is true. But they don't get bashed for F-ed up reasons like that

Naked, in an elevator. That shouldn't buy you a beating, but it is not exactly conducive to your personal safety. Was it a dare? Do people completely lose their minds on vacation? Such a strange story.
