Gting, I agree, folks should share invoice costs and what they are able to deal when they purchase their cars.

Helps to level the playing fields with the dealers....don't get me wrong I firmly believe the dealers are entitled to a fair profit, but I like to know when I am getting a fair deal when I am buying a car.

To know that folks need to share a little info. Dealer invoice gives you that info. Couple that with the going market price, again shared on forums like this and you level the playing field.

No Nav.

I felt this was a good price for me and the dealer.

I knew the dealer was going to be letting all the cars go for full pop until the supply increases significantly so I made this deal a long time ago.
I think you got a good deal. What colour combo did you end up getting?

gting... no offense... but what's your problem?? i like the apa... they're a non-profit organization helping the average joe get a fair shake. they've helped me on all my new car purchases and even provided me assistance when settling with the insurance company on my stolen vehicle. why wouldn't i want to help them out and have them stay around??!!

you'll spend $1000's on parts and dressings but won't spend 65$ (close to the price of a tank fill-up) and get the quote from a great organization (like the apa)??!! u my friend are the sad one. i hope your not the type that goes leeching around in life hoping to get a free ride. sheesh. i think i provided enough information for someone to get a great deal on their own. if i recieved the info for free off the net or someplace else.... i would have posted it on this great forum without a doubt. the fact is, i wasn't able to find the dealer invoice anywhere else. in the future... don't blast other members on this site.... and keep your own stupid comments to yourself. if u can't afford 65$ then why the hell are u even considering purchasing a car like the g35?

Post numbers or don't post at all. Your help isn't needed in this thread anymore. APA is a waste of money. "Hey guys pay $65 and you can find out what I paid!!" Get lost!

Thanks for your useless posts!! Either posts the numbers or nothing at all.

Hey guys I have a secret!! I dynoed my car today. I don't want to post the numbers or graphs because I paid $75 for 3 runs to a dyno operator who says he doesn't make any money from doing it. If you pay $75 you can get you dynos done too.

Thought I would chime in....

I think its sad that in Canada we need to pay to find out the dealer invoices.

When I purchase new cars, I usually ask the dealer to show me their invoice with the agreement that I will pay them a reasonable profit margin on top of that.

Works fairly well, but you do need organizations like APA or car cost canada to provide you with an independent dealer invoice and also any holdback or other items that would add to the dealers revenue, if you really want to ensure you are getting a fair price.

As for sharing dealer invoice prices that you paid to recieve.....well that's up to the individual.

I will have mine ordered up in the next day. I figured a forum would be a good place for sharing information to save money by experiece. Basically what goes around comes around. I will dyno my car after the first oil change for example.

giddyup69,

How long did it take to get your winter tires and rims from Harry? I have to get myself some winters since I should be getting my car by Friday.

depends where u are... he ships it ups standard... should take 3-4 days (mine took 4 days). i got pirelli winter tires and generic rims from him for 1850$ inclusive. i'm sure he can ship it ups expedited ... but i would think that it would be expensive due to the weight. give him a shout... he might be able to work something out with u. i've also heard good things about yorkville infiniti for winter tires from other posts (maybe u can give them a try).

on another note... got some outstanding news from my dealership... looks like i can pick up my car in a couple of days. i'll try to get some pics and post them.

-cheers everyone.

It's been a long time since I've seen such a brutal thread, folks. I'm surprised no one has stepped in (moderators ;o) ). Whatta hijack!
When I last discussed my M6 Coupe with the dealer, I was told it will arrive in Feb. I'll be getting confirmation on that hopefully tomorrow, or hopefully before week's end. I'm sure he will tell me Feb, and the car will arrive in Feb, or Mar. I promise to tell everyone when I hear, or you can PM me and send $65 via paypal and I'll tell you now. Oh yeah, and did I mention that I have a 2003 DP/Willow coupe for sale?

Cheers,
Derek

Gting-
Keep it civil please. Not everyone shares your opinion on the APA, and it certainly doesn't help to get personal about it.
Arguing on the forums won't be tollerated. If you have an issue with someone, don't take it to the boards, take it to a moderator or admin.
If the issue is just a disagreement, stay away from the thread and go elsewhere.

To prevent prolonging this sillyness, I've closed the thread. Any other that digresses into non productiveness will be closed too.

TNX for listening
