front end thunks on bumps

2003 G35 coupe premium package - 18" wheels and brembos, 6sp manual

bought the car with 80,000 kms and thought the front end kinda thunked on bumps
now at 90,000 it seems worse, and passenger side does it when I tap the brakes
soooooooo im thinking bushings or or joints...

is this a common problem at this kind of mileage ?
what is involved with the fix ?

Sounds like compression rods. They tend to go around the 100 thou km mark. Many threads, ie.

it was mostly steering knuckles and the compression rods both gone and apparently were on the way out when i bought the car from Markham Infiniti....
a road trip a few months after i purchased the car seemed really noisy on expansion joints and bumps so i took it into the dealership...
Jason the service guy said "I guess you haven't owned one of these cars cuz they all do it"
this became one of many issues i had with the BS with that dealership.
Village Nissan as always gone the extra mile when servicing my wife's 2006 Altima with the 3.5 so in it went....
got the car back and OMG absolutely no thunking noise... its as quiet as the Altima
so much for Jason's BS comment

Ive had many problems with Markham Infiniti and always gave them the chance to do the right thing but they always failed...
I now go out of my way to warn ppl about them... Im a car guy... people come to car guys for advise or opinions and we do make a difference. I have now warned 75 people at this point about purchasing or servicing a car at Markham Infiniti and know of at least 6 purchases they lost out on.
