Definitely happy. Lock works flawlessly. Only down side is that now removal of the door panel is more complicated. Other than that it's a good fix.

So something like this could easily be made in to very sturdy bracket.

 

Yeah this is pretty common in 2003...... probably other years too.

Lucky/Unlucky for me it happened to drivers side door so I don't mind manually locking and unlocking. Passenger side is still OK........for now *knock on wood*

My boy fixed both of his doors buying the kit from eBay . this guy with the video gives his name and email so you can contact him and order it form him. both doors are working great , might be working better than new.

 

interesting. I like how he just cut it in to the foam.
