Just bought my G last thursday, it is my first car, and only came with one key. I'm planning on buying a new transponder key and fob from amazon. I've read the instructions on programming the fob and I plan on doing that myself at home. I've asked a couple stores about programming the key and they said that they used to but aren't able to program them anymore. I was wondering if anyone in the Vancouver area knew of a locksmith or shop that would be able to program the key for less than $100

 

If you're prepared to spend $100 why not a dealer. Auto West did one for me. I forget what I paid.

 

Dealership wants $100 for programming, looking for somewhere to spend less. Hopefully around $25-50

They wanted like $400 for new key and fob cut and programmed. If I can find a place to program my key for like $50 I'll be able to save like $300 total

 

I always thought Infiniti were the only ones who can do that.

so apparently century locksmith in surrey is able to program, $85 for key cut and programmed. guy said that if i brought a key in he'd program it for $50 and cut it for free. also said would only charge me $25 for second key if i brought two in. planning on doing this soon, i'll let you know how it goes
