February blahs

Who's got em? It's still pretty cold here and doesn't feel like spring will ever get here with all this snow too. I feel like a "couped" up rat without my G on the road.
The next best thing is being able to swap posts with my G bros.

Hey GSM- did you get that car yet?

We actually had a storm com thru this week and we got major HAIL!
It is not supposed to hail in Winter!!!!
On the bright side.....Spring is within sight...its about 60 and sunny today!!!

My wife and I took a cruise out of NY last Sept. that stopped at Halifax.
Beautiful country.
I drink wine every night out of my glasses from Novia Scotian Crystal!!!!

Yeah it's about 30 degrees here now but bright and sunny, up from 16 when I arose this morning. I think weather patterns have been messed up for years now causing a lot of extreme weather everywhere. It's certainly true here.

That's cool that you saw our neck of the woods. Thanks for the compliment. We love it here. Last September I was working in an office building on the waterfront right where your cruise ship would have turned in the harbour, just down from where Nova Scotia crystal is made. I have gone snowmobiling in CApe Breton with one of the two master glass blowers there!
Dumb question, but GA is Georgia right? I'm heading to the states in April to run the 109th Boston Marathon.
Let us know if you ever get back here.

Hey Deane. I got the cure for the February blues................but it's expensive and will cause you more damn stress than you want........ Read on:

The Serenteti Sand M is out the door, and now it's a Platinum Ice!!!!!!!

Long story....short result: someone read the colour code wrong. DUUUUUUH
Thankfully Platinum Ice isn't much different, sort of between Serengeti Sand and Brilliant Silver. So it's all still good since it's the same car, same Vin#, same equipment, same Sport model, and best of all - due any day now. I like that colour anyway so 'What the Hay' -- no biggie. Thank God!
It certainly wasn't very boring around here this afternoon, let me tell you...As a matter of fact, the air was BLUE.
I could see some other SOB driving away in my Serengeti Sand Sport...but that's not the case... it's just a simple misread of a colour code that wasn't discovered until today..............
I've cooled off now, so all is fine and I've been promised that "there will be no more screw-ups". A couple more freebies would be nice for the 'agro'. I won't be shy about asking for something either.

So it's still "almost here"............It'll just LOOK a little different. That's all. and like GEE35X said to me earlier, "maybe the body kit I want for it won't be so expensive after all"....... (hmmmm-- good thought. Wayne).

The saga continues......stay tuned. I want everyone to say a prayer for my car to come this coming Thursday or Friday. That would suit me to a 'T'.

Thanks for listening. it helped.

Good attitude Colin.
I had something similiar when I ordered the G. I ordered in December for March delivery my red 6MT w/ navi. It got here and I went immediately to look at it although I wasn't taking delivery for a few weeks. I got the key, sat in it and started it up. Something was missing. Navigation....I bought and ordered from the Nissan sales manager I know (dual dealership) Communication breakdown between he and Infiniti sales manager caused them to miss my navi request because it was the first one they had done here in the maritimes. So no navi and I didn't want to wait another 3-4 months after a reorder. I easily negotiated about $1200 of stuff because of the screw up and I was happy with that. (I didn't push them too hard because at the time they were a client of mine.) I'm sure you'll be looked after too.

Let us know when the new iron hits your garage.

Deane

Hey Canuck,

Let's pray March comes in like a lamb and stays that way.

Don't worry about the car. It happens and if it's just the light that's easily replaced.

Enjoy the single life while you've got it. Mind you I've enjoyed married life for 16 years every bit as much.

I found a replacement tail light lens on ebay....it looks light the lens somehow goes over the tail light assembly. I guess I will have a better idea on how it's installed once I receive the replacement.

Deane, we should see how much interest there is in having a G35 meet this spring. To my knowledge, there isn't any meets in atlantic provinces is there?

Wow 39 days left, congratulations.
It will be 35 years of wedded bliss this June for me (of course a few curves are usually thrown in there to test you). I can remember when my wife had a little fender bender. A friend of mine parked his restored Porsche behind my jacked up bright yellow 4x4 cause he knew his ride would be safe if I was driving. WRONG, my wife was driving, she jumped in the truck with the kids and backed right into the Porsche taking out the headlight and munching his front fender. Ouch, sh?t happens. Didn.t put a mark on my 4x4 though.
I will tell you though I am a very lucky man, I found my perfect match.

Oh, the weather here is nice right now, but they are calling for 20cm this afternoon along Lake Huron where I live. We have actually had an easy winter here this year.

No my friend was not too happy, my wife was waiting for him in the parking lot to give him the news. I think that was easier telling him what happened then it was to tell me when she got home!.

Canuck,
It's good to hear you've found a fix for the G.
39 days is special to us both. That's the day I get my G out of storage!
Enjoy your time away and make sure you have several beer for me.

Yes I would be interested in a meet somewhere. The only Nissan realated club I know of is the Atlantic Z one that I posted a link for earlier. I'm a member and the only G Coupe owner out of the 90 or so Z's of various vintages. As far as Infiniti or G meets specifically there are none I know of but I'll ask the dealer here if they're aware of any. In any event we should figure something out and post it here and on the Canadian 350Z/G35 site as well to increase interest.
Maybe we can do it after you return. Any ideas on location?

Hey guys,
I've missed a bit of this thread today. Had to get my Coupe certified and e-tested for my bro. Also done some advertising to sell his Solara for him. Then there was the snow to shovel, the kids to walk (twice), Mom to check up on, tax returns to finalize and send in, banking, market, cooking.................busy day.......
Good thing I don't 'work'.

Hey Canuck and RBull, sorry to say the storm that's dumping a few inches on us tonight and tomorrow will continue on to the east. But then you know that since you've been dumped on often this winter..... sorry guys.

Just think how nice spring will be when she arrives. Hopefully we'll make it thru to enjoy it.

Canuck, sorry to hear of the minor ding, no biggie right? Lights are cheap and easy to fix. Well, easy to fix anyway.......

That meet you guys may have after Canuck returns sounds good to me....lol. I might be in the neighbourhood myself. My trip east will be sometime next summer, may as well be at 'meet time'..

Canuck, Only 39 more 'free' days..... Time is flying by..... Damn, 29 degrees after the cold and crap we've had here.....You won't be able to breathe in that heat...lol., but I imagine you'll get 'by' somehow....

No car yet, but I'm ready.....My snows are here, and I've read the M owner's manual I downloaded three times already.
Colin
