Hey bro, here's a taste of what's happening just west of you> I snapped a few pics of the back patio and the kid's little 'walkways'. I didn't have the energy to do the whole 'circuit yet. My back was aching a little after dong the driveway a couple times this morning.
Sid took a dive into the snow this morning after a bird, and almost disappeared --- he clambered back out but looked like a snowman with all the snow stuck to him. He looked like a sorry mess.
Dayne was there snickering of course at Sid's naivete. it was hillarious.

The sun should be back out tomorrow, so our 'wonderful winter blanket' will be all gone soon. oh drat. lol.

Later
C.

P.S. oh yes the M-- I snapped only one pic the other day after 'shoehorning' both the M and the Solara into the garage.
Not a lot of room for error when parking is there? Needless to say, I'm real careful --
C.

P.P.S. -- oh yes -- the back yard was clear up to Friday. I was out with the kids playing ball in the warm sun, then we had a nap laying on the grass for a while. It'll be a while b4 we're back out there again.

C.
Hey Colin,
Nice pics of the kids.
You're right about those vehicles being shoehorned in there. I thought you'd have to be as skinny as me to get inside them!

2 coats of Z-5 on it's hood brought it back to respectability.

Now that I've got my 'hand' in on the Solara, I'll chance a couple more coats on the M.

Yeh the puppies... Sid and Dayne...bless 'em, They're my pride and joy, even beyond what's sitting in the garage -- lol.

It wasn't brave...pretty stupid in retrospect. I had to be pushed out of my parking spot...the summer rubber has so little grip in snow that it doesn't even kick it up, it just polishes it into ice.

How do you like the PC? I just picked a larger 7" light cutting pad to take another crack at the scratches left by the dealer.

Kickass puppies! Anyone who doesn't love cocker spaniels puppies is completely heartless.

Balzz...Have you seen the PC7336 anywhere else for sale locally, I have seen the 7424, but can't find 7336 (carcare in BC has them backordered). I have asked Colin to come up to my place and show me how his works on my Black scratched up Z71 4x4 , but he really hasn't given me a straight answer on that one yet
Thanks, Wayne

The polisher is great. Lightweight and easy to use. I'm quite impressed with it. Easy is the word.......makes the job a breeze.. no muss, no fuss, no sweat. Just the ticket for all the scratches on the Solara.
The larger pad will make the wide, flat areas even easier.

I'm glad you like the pups......Dayne and Sid are so precious. I wouldn't trade them for the world.
It really is heartwarming to find so many animal lovers here at 'Driver.

LOL, Wayne, I'll try to remember the polisher tomorrow, but you know how I can forget things.......

Haha, Shoehorned is right, and not so skinny anymore. I think I'll try leaving the window down so I can climb in 'Winston Cup' style.... or maybe even thru the sunroof...... PLOP

yes man, very easy. Did a great job on the hood of the Solara, and I won't hesitate to use it on the M.
Well worth buying this baby, unless you want to end up with 'pipes' like the Hulkster.

Nothing definitive yet bro, but we're open to suggestions.
I was aiming at maybe the weekend of April 16-17, and also waiting to hear back from Jerry at Yorkville Infiniti for a meet there sometime soon, maybe even that weekend. But that depends of approval, and as far as I know, that hasn't been given yet.

When I hear anything I'll post here; In the meantime, feedback is welcome.

this is probably good fora new thread but Gsedanman (should it not be Msedanman), I will let you decide.

What's the differece between a PC polisher like yours (Gsedanman) and orbital sanders sold in Sears (Craftsman) or CanadianTire (Mastercraft)?

The weekend of Apr.16-17 would be good for me. Hopefully whatever weekend it is, we should not have to worry about snow.

MattAu,

Basically the main difference is that the "sander" that you see at Sears or Cdn Tire operates in a straight pattern unlike where the orbital buffer will rotate in a small circle within a circle. By moving in such a way, it would be almost impossible to "burn" through your paint on your car.

You might want to check out http://www.properautocare.com . They can explain how to properly use a orbital buffer.

Guys,

I'm available for the 17th or the 24th. Just to let you know.

Cheers!!!

Ian you aren't going to tell us what your special mods are, Are you? ,and are you still waiting for the tires? We could probably work in the 16, 17, or the 24th, and I guess we will have to go just to see your mods.

On another note Karen and I got to go for a spin today in Colin's M45 Sport and to see some of the tech features in the car today. All I can say is WOW , definitely is one beautiful ride. After Colin left the house, my wife and I had our M Brochure out going through our M35X dream list . Maybe in a year or two. We can always dream and it was great seeing you C.
