Drove The New M!

All I can say is Colin, congrats man. What a fantastic car. Beautiful interior, seamless torque and power (drove the M45 sport). Was in Windsor this morning for a service on the G. Ryan tossed me the keys and told me we could go for a spin. They really let you test the car properly there. Anyhow, more than enough gadgets to satisfy anyone, and the sound system in the car is actually really good. Time to pass that interior treatment to the G's. PLEASE! Anyhow, dynamite ride. Can't wait to check yours out. I believe he said only 500 hundred are scheduled for Ontario.

Haha, Thanks man, yeh, it's not hard to take is it? ... lol, even not too bad in the back seats where the entertainment system/Navi will keep you occupied.

Not a lot of difference in power up top between the M and the G, but down low, the V-8's extra torque is a treat. Of course the extra heft (4000lbs) is a strike against much spirited G-type driving, but for a ride that heavy, it holds its own.
I havn't tried it, but apparantly it'll smoke the back tires easily with the VDC off, and drift quite nicely........ The extra wide meats and stiffer suspension help handling a lot.

Tech galore in the M. It's really a dream come true, with so many 'toys'. I can see why 'Lane Departure' is recommended. -- Playing with the toys takes your attention off the road sometimes. haha, with lane departure, it helps keep you between the white lines

ONce I get some more clicks on her, I'll post more impressions and pics. I haven't really had time to yet.
I can't wait to get at her with the P/C too. I've got one coat on, so 2 more should do for the summer.

More later. See you at the next meet (soon).
Safe G'ing.

Colin
