Just a quick calculation with the new gas prices for our EC jaunt.
If we were lucky enough to average 28 mpg (10.09 l/100km), which I doubt. And I did a random estimate of 5,000km on the trip we would only spend $605 on gas at say $1.20 per liter.

Not bad eh !

Only 4 weeks to go

Lol, whatever the cost Wayne, it's cheaper and more convenient that flying.
and it is a g/m-meet. If we flew we have to rent g's there just to get into the meet..lol.

DAYYYYAAMMMMMMM, that much for gas, huh? I know mine will do much better at say 110 kph than at 130-140kph.

Whatever....I think I'm good for about 'Mach 2.2' if we need to hurry. I'll just put my M on 'Auto Pilot-- take me there' and go to sleep.

WOW...
Maybe we should reconsider..... NOT

T-dot to H-fax is 1750 km soooo maybe we can do a little better than $600.

Besides from what I remember about East coasters....
the party budget will blow that away

I think we'd better forget about prices and mileage. Let's just have a good time.

On the news at six on Global, they sited a gas station in Montreal that was charging $1.34/liter for regular........and experts are suggesting that prices will get much worse before improving.

Deane,
LOL, did I see that Halifax has the most expensive gas in the country?
yesterday I saw Montreal had gas for sale at $1.34/liter, but today the news had Halifax's regular at $1.39! an new record.

LOL, it's costing me, but I tell you, I'm enjoying every kilometer in the M.
Maybe I'll bring to Solara -- it's gets better mileage..........NEVER!

She'll be on auto pilot, mate.....I won't have to do a thing.....

To hEll with the Toy....mileage isn't everything.

Yikes .....lol, not that anyone cares, but that's $6.77/Imperial Gallon of regular!

Let's see....Premium is about $.10 more (give or take) and that's -- trumpets please.........................$7.23/gallon!

I hate to say this, but I used to fill my tanks on the old big sedans for less than the currant price of a liter.

They better get these dam* prices down, and fast, or everything is going to cost us a hell-of-a-lot more.......YIKES x 2 .

Just so you don't worry, Deane....I'll be doing about 100 to 110 kph on the big hwys....just like everyone else these days.
Funny how super high prices slow people down. It really does.

Each of the 2 legs (to Quebec city and then to N.B./N.S.) is about 900 klicks.
That'll take about 8-9 hrs/leg + pitstops..

Piece of cake....
