Plane Crash!
What a miracle that no one was killed in the plane crash today at Peasons! I am very glad to hear that everyone is safe. It sounds like you guys up in the GTA had some pretty severe weather.

Yeh, Shane thank God nobody was hurt badly.
Darn weather is so changeable lately with all the heat that it just whipped up quickly this afternoon and turned real sour.
Like Jason said tho, very localized and short lived. Strange stuff.
Very spectacular blaze and smoke but that's it. Quite a scare tho. UGGGGG.

I was outside just a short time ago and I could smell the odour from the fire. BTW I live about 20 minutes east of Pearson airport.
It was a great to hear that nobody was seriously hurt, just some minor injuries( broken bones, etc...).

i drove through the smoke on the 401 yesterday from work. got onto the collectors heading east from dixie road (around 4pm). on the ramp onto the hwy i saw a big mushroom cloud over the otherside of the hwy. had no frigging clue what it was at first. rain was really coming down hard and there was lightning and thunder everywhere. as i approached the express lanes to the 401 just before eglinton the smoke had started to cross the hwy. all the cars had to stop because there was absolutely no visibility and it smelled awfull. i could just see flashing lights coming down some road on the other side. we finally pushed through at like 5 clicks an hour and i still wasn't sure what the hell was going on. at first i thought some fuel silo was hit by lightning or something... because the scene reminded me of iraq and the burning oil depots. i scanned the radio and didn't here anything. got home 10 minutes later and screemed at my wife to turn the tv on because i think something just happened at the airport. took another 5 minutes before anything was even on... just crazy.

In the past 2 years, I flu with the same flight(358) and possibly the same plane more than 6-7 times. I was actually pretty surprised when they said crew knew exactly what to do during the emergency exit. Because, in my experience, they seemed total incompetents...once I was flying in business class and there is like 7-8 people in the whole section(it wasn't full) and this flight attendant keeps talking to me in french even after I repeatedly told him I don't speak french. Like everytime he comes around for something, he would first ask in french and then I have to repeat saying that I don't speak damn french. He then messed up my food and gave me a different meal. I don't know but my overall experience with air france was not so good. so I left them after that and probably did a smart move.
I am due for another flight next week but this time it's with British Airways.
