How much to pay for remote starter?

hi all,

i would really like to put in a remote starter for my G35... but i'm am pretty clueless as to how much a system would cost installed. i have a G35 6MT Sedan, so it doesn't have the Intellikey option... pretty much bone stock.

do any of u guys have a recommendation on a specific system... and how much such a system would be installed?

i haven't looked, but i would think that a remote starter for the G35 would be somewhere in the $400-$1000 range... ya, big range. i'm lookng at something in the middle, around $600-$700 installed.

any advise would help...

TIA

Jon

for the price range...you could go with the Compustar Line of 2way paging/remote starter. I have used them for years and will be install one in my 2005 coupe very shortly.

Holy crap that is expensive. I will assume i buy my system from ebay at 249 throwing it the shipping and all is roughly 300 bucks us then conver it is about 360 but for the sake lets say 400 bucks. then 500 buck for install woo that is expensive. I just got a quote today and is only about 250-300 bucks.

It took 14 hours to install, they said the wiring on the 05 is different than the 03-04's. I had another quote for $1200.00

Call up Jeff at Lockdown Security. He is a very well know installer with many of the GTA clubs. I have used him exclusively over the past 7 years and they will be doing the G35 very shortly. He has done numerous installs on G35s so your car will not be a learning opportunity.

When you go in to see Jeff, try to negotiate a good price for G35 members and I would be interested to get one as well.

I think Jeff would be interested in something along those lines...he has done it for other clubs.
