Fair Value for a G?

Newbie here!

I'm interested in buying a G35 Sedan, 5AT. I'm looking at '04s and '05s, slightly used (max 40k on them).

Just wondering if you guys know what is a fair price for these vehicles and how much room there usually is to negotiate?

Any recommended dealers or ways to get a better deal?

Any info would help!

Thanks.

I bought an '05 Sedan with premium package in Ottawa at the beginning of August - invoice plus $113.00, a $3,844 discount from MSRP. 417 Infiniti was ready to deal, Tony Graham Infiniti definitely wasn't.

I'm assuming that was a new G35?

Yes. It had just arrived at the dealership, and was still in the wrapper. Straight cash deal, no trade.

Sorry if I missed it but where are you located? Seems like most 04/05 with ~40k are listed in the ~38-40k range, but I'd suspect you could negotiate down quite a bit on that. When I bought my '03 with 41k on it (premium/aero) in June we ended up at $2,600 under list. That was at Agincourt Nissan/Infiniti in Scarborough. Just gotta find one they have a large margin on.

I'm in the GTA so I definately know Agincourt Infiniti.

I'd like something with even less mileage (20k or less) but I'm flexible. Can I ask what the asking price and what you actually paid for the car?

My car was listed at $32,950 and we paid $30,355. That's an '03.5 with premium and aero and 41k km on it. We also got a clear bra installed for "free" and free oil changes for life. So I guess that's ~$1100 in stuff thrown in.

Our salesperson was Eileen Freelander, she was nice, accomodating, and most importantly, willing to deal.

Seems alot cheaper then I am seeing right now. However I'm looking more towards '05s (possibly '04s). Seems like they are more in the 40k range. Quite a big drop in price I'd say. Any idea when it would be a good time to get deals on '05s? (I want IntelliKey, and the newer styling, etc)

I'm a Fleet Manager at Foss National Leasing, so I guess it's not really reflective of what it would cost retail.

We can buy 03's at the auction right now with 50k for the $25,000 range.

I was getting an 03 Coupe with 50k for $29,000 but one of the leasing reps stole it out from under me.

Yep, getting an '03 will save you ~10k, but it's 2 years less warranty and obviously doesn't have all the new stuff the '05 does. As for a good time to get a deal on '05's - *right now!*. '06's are coming in, and all indicators are pointing to the fact that dealers are willing to deal bigtime on the '05's. Folks are saying they're getting $50-$100 over invoice, someone on the sedan boards just mentioned that he got his for under invoice... Just go in knowing the numbers.

Yeah I've gone to a couple of dealers and got some prices ($2200-2400 off MSRP), but its slightly out of my range when you factor in all the taxes etc. So I prefer getting something slightly used and saving the freight/pdi/gas/air.
