Canadian XM G35's
So this thread comes back from the dead....
I just received the N-bus cable from everythingg35.com and will be test installing the system Friday night.
Here's to hoping that it works in the '05.

SUCCESS!!!!
Just finished the install and all channels are up and running.
So, from my experience, I've got the following summary:
- the 05 Sedan does not come pre-wired from the factory with the N-bus cable;
- the package that everythingg35.com sells, works perfectly fine;
- the install took me 3 hours to complete and I have to tell you that I have some experience doing stereo installs and am not afraid to take a car's interior apart - unless you've done this sort of thing before, you should take it to a shop and have them do it, but I wouldn't pay for more than 3 hours max;
- I've mounted the small antenna to the rear deck of the car (to the center passenger seat belt retractor cover), so there's nothing on the exterior;
- the display of the factory HU is quite poor when it comes to displaying XM info - you can't scroll. I can't recall how many characters display, but it would be nice if it scrolled like it does for MP3 CDs
- the g35 is put together quite well. Very precise fit that you appreciate when reinstalling everything - nothing is loose
All in all, I'm very pleased that I've got XM in the car and that it works so well (great sounding, factory install).
If anyone is interested in doing this job and would like some advice, feel free to contact me and I'll do what I can.
Thanks for putting up with my XM thread.

wow you are the man Albert. Personally, I don't do taking apart interiors of my car so I would have just given up after no pre-wire.
hows the reception when the antenna is placed at the rear deck?
good job overall.

There's nothing wrong with taking the interior apart on a car, but you just have to be careful and think before doing. This is where my experience comes in handy as, even though the part may not have felt like it wanted to come apart a certain way, I knew that it just had to. The first time I took the radio out, it took an hour just to remove that - took 10 minutes yesterday.
The reception is great. No need to worry about mounting inside the vehicle, as long as the antenna has a clear view of the sky. Only concern would be if you had metallic tint, then I would test mount until convinced that it would work fine. Mine is actually just test mounted as I haven't exposed the adhesive backing to the spot I want to mount it. Thought I'd confirm that I want it there.

It doesn't scroll automatically, but manual is better than nothing. It's annoying to only see CHARLES TUR or something, when you hear a song you like as you can't get the rest when in XM.
