Anyone With Injen CAI

I just picked my Injen cold air intake up yesterday and installed it in about 2hrs. without taking off the front bumper. My question to all is, does anyone have the same intake who has RED rubber hoses and RED rubber connectors that want to trade for my brand spanking new BLACK rubber hoses and BLACK rubber connectors? I was hoping to receive the RED ones upon shipping, but there is no indication on the box before I opened it. I also email Injen and found out that they ship them out with BLACK instead of RED since the colour is more neutral to everyone's taste. I want to go with a RED theme in my engine bay and wondered if anyone would be willing to trade just the rubber parts? Thanks in advance.

Re: Anyone With Injen CAI

Can't help you with the red bands, but what's your overall impression of the Injen CAI? Did you buy this locally and how much CND did it cost if you don't mind sharing?

Thanks

Re: Anyone With Injen CAI

My overall impression of Injen is WOH!! Very loud when driven past 4000rpm. I do find a lag in the gas pedal and a lil loss in low end torque, but that's with all aftermarket intake systems. You probably gain everything in the high rpm's so I will let you know how I do on the track at Shannonville on Wednesday.

I paid $450CAD at my friends local shop in Scarborough.

Tabz > I'm only going with 9 other people and people my friends and I trust. We are all newbies and do not want anything to happen to our cars or individuals with people we are unfamiliar with. That is why I did not ask any G35Drivers to come with us. Sorry to all, but that are my friend's and my rules. Hope everyone understands and am sure you would all feel the same.

Rumble, Have fun on Wednesday bro, and try not to 'bend' anything. If I were you, I wouldn't be too anxious to turn off the VDC at least until you get a few laps in. My $.02 .. G/L

Re: Anyone With Injen CAI

Thanks guys!!

We are booking night events so I believe it either starts from 5:30pm or 6:30pm. We are starting at 6:30pm. The minimum is 2 hours and the cost is $250/hour plus 1 tax. Getting 10 people for 2 hours would cost you about $60 per person so it's not too bad. They close at 9pm though so we can probably ask for another half an hour more till close. Look them up on the web and email them. They will send you their availabile dates to you via email if you are interested. GL man

Easy to fix. just loosen the gasket and rotate the pipe clockwise until out of harms way.

I've had mine installed for about 9 months, no rubbing. I was aware of the problem though when I installed it though so I was careful and you can see how it would rub.
