Vancouverites... brace yourself

SNOW is in forecast... I know, no big deal for people back east... but anytime snow hits the Vancouver area, chaos ensues.

It always amazes me how so many people can act so stupid all at once. Tire shops are filled, cars are abandoned, accident rates go crazy... and that's with about 5cm on the roads

Supposed to be around for a while till the rain returns by the weekend.

GTA drivers aren't immune from a sudden case of the stupids either...
Seems everyone has to be retrained every year

Same here, but we've never had to call in the military over a snow storm- and our White Juan a few years was the largest dump ever for a Canadian city in a 24 hour period.

Good luck BbyG35.

Yes, thanks.... my 1/2 hour commute should be more like an hour tomorrow am.
BTW... I lived in Northern BC for a few years. The first winter we had 9 ft of recorded snowfall -- mind you, it only looked like 6 ft (compacted)

Yes the whole country will remember it.

We had the military help in Hurricane Juan but that truly was a disaster requiring assistance.

Thanks for the kind words all... today's commute turned out to be like a regular rainy day for me. Elsewhere, out of our area, they had heavier snowfall with highway closures due to cars unable to stay on roads in icy conditions.

Winter is here much earlier than last year.
