A Great Fall

I don't want to jinx anything, but we have had a fantastic fall here in on the east coast. I can't remember having a warmer fall than this year. There was actually a few days last week that we got to 13-15 degrees.

After the last couple of winters, we sure could use a break. Hopefully having a great fall season doesn't mean we are going to have a bad winter.

I guess you haven't heard the news. There is a warm and cold jet stream colliding just off the north atlantic coast and it's moving east north east with gusting winds of approximately 90 km/hr and snow accumulation of about 40 to 60 cm. Sorry dude...but get the snow blower ready.

Glad you had a good one Shane......at least you've got that to hang on to. I know when we were there it was terrific.
We're all keeping our fingers crossed for a short, easy winter and early spring.

Colin.

Well, the almanac is predicting a mild winter with below normal snowfall here in the east so I am hoping their prediction is accurate. Everyday that goes by without snow is fine with me!

Amen to that Shane. We really are overdue for an easy one. We used to have about every 2nd or 3rd winter with almost no snow staying on the ground here through the winter. 5 years ago I didn't shovel even once.

Haha Chico. That is a flashback of White Juan two years ago. 90+km winds and 92cm of snow in 24 hours. We had no snow on the ground before that storm. My Grand Cherokee was one of a handful of vehicles out that day and it was stuck all over town. I could not get into my subdivision for 3 days. Had to park the jeep a few miles away and walk on top or through that snow to get home.

Let's hope. It's not been bad here yet, with little snow and not too cold. I hope it doesn't change.

Stay safe bro.

Sorry, guys, to report bad news but Environment Canada just said today that it's going to be a "brutal winter", with colder than normal temperatures, but they also said that weather forecasting is an inexact science so let's hope they're wrong (they often are).

I knew someone would remember that winter. Of course I was kidding about the report.

I hope getting home wasn't like this...

OMG!!!! I am depressed by just looking at those pics. Sorry bro but I couldn't live there. That is literally KATRINA winter version.

How long did it take for the snow to melt away?
